Hi! I’m Arynetta

You can consider me your clean beauty bestie, big sis, and all around aficionado.

I’m an actress, writer, creator, and, for over a decade, clean beauty evangelist. I came to clean beauty after a health condition I’d never heard of landed me in the hospital for two surgeries (and two more after that). This started me on a journey to change my lifestyle completely in support of healing my hormones. What I learned shocked, disappointed, angered, encouraged, and inspired me to help women take control of their health and beauty. And, that mission led me here, to you!

My symptoms started in the same way as so many women: My period went haywire.

It was absolutely unmanageable.

For years, every doctor and nurse practitioner I went to shoved birth control at me and shewed me away, until, finally, someone scheduled me in for an ultrasound.  Within weeks I was scheduled for two surgeries and given a shot that shut down my estrogen, complete with full experiences of the symptoms of menopause.

Add to that, I was in my early thirties, but my skin thought it was sixteen again.  I had acne like I’d never experienced before.

I was prescribed powerful topicals and a pill that shut down my testosterone.  What?  No estrogen OR testosterone?  I knew damn near nothing about hormones at that time in my life, but I knew something about that didn’t sound right.

My dermatologist said it would be fine (shutting down my estrogen and testosterone).

My OBGYN said if I was a few years older she’d just give me a hysterectomy and we could be done with the whole thing

My surgeon recommended I come into surgery every 6 months or so to take care of any issues that arose.

Before I continue, let me say that this is not meant to bash any medical professionals.  These doctor’s were excellent at what they did.  My surgeon was phenomenal, my OBGYN had wonderful bedside manner, and my Dermatologist was determined to get me the skin of my dreams through all the medical methods available to her.

But, although these doctors were excellent at what they did, those recommendations felt crazy to me.

Absolutely no medical professional that I dealt with suggested that a diet and lifestyle change would make any difference. As a matter of fact, it seemed like I annoyed one of them by even suggesting it. Just pills, surgery, topicals, and, when I was old enough (meaning… 38), a hysterectomy would take care of everything.

The idea that the only option I had to manage, balance, or heal my body was bi-yearly surgery, pills, rx topicals, and eventually a hysterectomy felt ridiculous to me. I vowed to figure out what was going on with my body.

It took several years, programs, specialists, nutritionists, health coaches, and more, and in the meantime-in-between-time more surgeries, ER visits––even an emergency blood transfusion.

But I stuck with it. Eventually I learned that I could take more control over my body.

I started with five things, what I think of as “5 Secrets” because so few women I run into are aware of them, that were contributing to my body’s breakdown. I wrote all about those five secrets here.

From my products to my nervous system and all up and in-between, I completely overhauled my life to support having healthy hormones (by the way, you can find my free Hormone Healthy Clean Beauty Skincare Guide here).

But beyond Clean Beauty skincare and detoxifying my environment, I learned that true health, and true beauty, is a mind, body, and soul thing.

Modern Beauty is clean in more ways than one.  It’s about having a clean and clear mindset that includes embracing our true authentic self––and that includes doing the work it takes to figure out who that is, and protecting, honoring, and listening to her at all costs.

Living that way takes a personal Lovelution.  It takes revolutionizing the love, care, and respect we have for ourselves and incorporating this radical way of self-love and being into our everyday life.

That’s what Arynetta.com is all about––sharing with you all the tips, tricks and tools I’ve learned and continue to learn on my personal Modern Beauty Lovelution, and cheering you along your Lovelution way.

Let’s get radicalized, shall we.
❤️,
Arynetta
